The access was already there.Same attack. Nothing to use.

Maya’s Identity Center account carries AdministratorAccess, granted in March 2025 with no expiry. The service account’s CLI keys carry rds:*, attached in 2023 and never reviewed. The attacker didn’t break either. They used what was standing. The phish still works and the stolen CLI keys still authenticate. But Maya’s Identity Center account carries no admin until she asks for it, for a task, and Luna removed the unused rds:* from the service account’s keys months ago. The attacker gets into AWS twice and finds nothing to use.

I’m a

No zero-day, no exploit chain. Just a login, and the standing access already sitting on it.Attackers don’t need an exploit when they can use an identity. What they reach is whatever access was already on it.

1.1THE WEAKEST POINT

Two ways in. Neither needs an exploit.

The weakest point is rarely the perimeter. It’s an identity that already has access, and there are two kinds attackers go looking for.Your controls protect the systems. Attackers walk past them by becoming someone those systems already trust.

Two doors, one root cause: standing access. It’s there whether anyone needs it or not, so it’s there when the attacker arrives. Two doors, one root cause: standing access. It sits on identities all day, every day, waiting for whoever gets hold of them next.

1.2HOW PLOY FIXES IT

Ploy makes a stolen login worth nothing.

Ploy makes every entitlement just-in-time. People and machines get access for a task and a window; Ploy grants it in AWS, GitHub, Okta or wherever it lives, and removes it when the window closes. Luna clears out whatever standing access is left.Ploy moves you from access that’s always on to access that exists only while it’s being used, and Luna keeps it that way around the clock. Steal an identity and there’s nothing standing on it to use.

Illustrative · one 30-day month, 720 hours · five tries with Maya’s stolen login

Maya’s production admin, over one month

Five tries with her phished login. Without Ploy, AdministratorAccess is there every hour of the month, so all five land. With Ploy it exists for seven hours, only while she’s working: an attacker would have to hit a window they can’t see.Same person, same month, same five break-in attempts. Without Ploy, all five get admin. With Ploy, none do, because there’s nothing standing to take.

Just-in-time by default

Access is requested for a role and a window, and policy approves the routine ones in seconds: production admin for two hours, not for good.People get the access a task needs, for as long as it needs it, and no longer.

When the window closes, Ploy revokes the grant in the target system. No ticket, no clean-up sprint, nothing left behind.Nobody has to remember to take access back, so it never piles up again.

Luna clears what’s already standing

Dormant admin, unowned service accounts, keys nobody has used in months: Luna works through the access already sitting there and removes it, or gets the owner to decide. The standing access you already carry doesn’t wait for a project. Luna finds it, checks with the owner, and removes what nobody needs.

Every grant on the record

Who asked, why, which policy or person approved it, when it landed and when it came off. Per grant, searchable. The audit trail writes itself. When an auditor or an incident asks who had access, the answer is already there.

1.3HOW IT WORKS

Just-in-time used to mean waiting. Now it takes seconds.

Zero standing privilege fails when getting access is slower than keeping it. Ploy takes three steps to switch on, and after that a routine request is approved and provisioned in seconds.Security that slows people down gets worked around. Ploy is quick to roll out and quicker to use, so the secure path is also the easy one.

  1. 01

Connect what you want to lock down

Link your identity provider, your cloud accounts and the core systems where admin rights live. Ploy maps who has what on day one.Start with the systems where a stolen login would hurt most. Connect them once and Ploy shows who has access to them today.

Luna writes the policies from how your business already works

No templates to fill in. Luna reads the access that already exists, who actually uses what and how your teams approve it today, and turns that into policies on her own: who can request what, for how long, and who signs it off.No policy-writing project. Luna learns from the access, teams and approvals you already have and creates the policies automatically, so you start protected rather than with a blank page.

Request access from the Ploy app, the browser extension, the desktop app, the CLI or your phone

1.4AROUND THE CLOCK

Luna doesn’t clock off.

Luna, our intelligence layer, works every identity, human and machine, around the clock. She expires grants on time, flags dormant and over-privileged accounts, chases owners for orphaned machines and writes every action to the record.Coverage that doesn’t depend on someone being awake. Luna works through every identity around the clock and records everything she does, so your team starts the day with the work already done.

“Ploy saved me from drowning in spreadsheets, manual licence assignment and SaaS sprawl. It lets us easily make sense of what's being bought, used, and wasted which is more than I can say for most software tools. The best part? They listen, iterate fast, and don't take themselves too seriously. Perfect match.”
