Cookie Policy

We are Join Ploy Ltd (company number 14724987). This policy explains what ploy.io stores in your browser, what each item is for, and how to change your mind. It covers this website only; the Ploy product has its own terms, and our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.

If you have any questions, contact us at info@joinploy.com.

1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser on later visits. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way without being sent with every request. This policy uses “cookies” to mean all of these.

2. Cookies that are strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to work and for us to honour your choice. They do not need your consent.

Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask again and so nothing optional loads if you said no.

Local storage

Until you clear your browser data or change your choice

3. Optional cookies
We set these only if you choose Accept on the cookie notice. Until you choose, nothing in this section is loaded or stored.

Marketing

Recognises returning browsers and, where it can, matches a visit to the organisation the visitor belongs to, so our sales team can see which companies are looking at ploy.io. Data it collects is transferred to the United States under the safeguards described in section 6 of our privacy policy.

A first-party cookie, plus device and session identifiers in local and session storage

Set by Clay; see Clay’s privacy policy for current retention periods

4. Analytics without cookies
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Plausible does not set cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not collect personal data such as IP addresses or persistent identifiers. Because nothing is stored in your browser it runs whether or not you accept optional cookies, and it is listed here so the picture is complete.

5. Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time: once you have chosen, the cookie notice folds into a small round button in the bottom corner of every page, and selecting it (or Cookie settings in the footer) brings the settings back. If you withdraw consent after accepting, we remove the cookies and storage that Clay set and reload the page so its script no longer runs. You can also delete cookies through your browser’s settings; doing so also clears your recorded choice, so the notice will appear again on your next visit.

6. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the cookies we use change, and the date at the top will move accordingly. If a change means we need your consent again, the cookie notice will ask for it.
