An approved request creates the Datadog account and sends the invitation. The new user shows as pending until they accept it.

LEAVERS

Disabled in Datadog, revoked in Ploy

Offboarding disables the Datadog user. The next scan reads the disabled account and retires its access straight away.

REVIEWS AND EVIDENCE

Roles, MFA and last login on every row

Each user arrives with their roles, their MFA state and when they last signed in, which is what a reviewer needs to judge a production observability seat.

STEP 01

Choose your Datadog site

Pick the regional site your organisation is hosted on, so Ploy calls the right API host.

STEP 02

Create an API key and an application key

The application key acts with its owner's permissions. Scanning needs user_access_read. Disabling users needs user_access_manage, and inviting needs user_access_invite.

STEP 03

Watch the first sync

Ploy checks the keys against Datadog, then users, roles and role membership land in the graph.
