WHAT PLOY DOES
Sync organization membersEvery member of the connected organization arrives in Ploy as an identity. Pending invitations are left out.
READ
Read each member's organization roleThe role, owner, editor, member or a custom role, rides as the entitlement on the member's access to Docker Hub.
READ
Map the organization as a resourceThe connected organization lands as an account resource carrying its own membership, so several connected organizations stay separate.
READ
Map teams and their membersEvery team lands as a resource, with who belongs to it.
READ
Invite people to the organizationPloy invites a person by email. They become a member once they accept.
WRITE
Change a member's organization rolePloy moves a member between owner, editor and member, so owner access can be raised and lowered again.
WRITE
Remove members from the organizationPloy removes a member from the organization. Their Docker account and other organizations are left alone.
WRITE
Grant and revoke team access from the resource pagePloy adds people to a team and removes them, from the team's own page in Ploy.
WRITE
2.1WHAT IT UNLOCKS

Three jobs this connector does on day one

JOINERS

An approved request becomes an invite

Ploy invites the engineer to the Docker Hub organization by email and adds them to the teams their repositories need.

REVIEWS

Who can push and publish your images

Organization owners and editors are named on each row, so a reviewer sees who holds control over your container registry.

LEAVERS

Out of the organization on the last day

Offboarding removes the member, which cuts their access to the organization's private images.

2.3

SETUP

TYPICALLY 10 MINUTES
STEP 01

Create an access token

Create a personal access token from an organization owner's account, or an organization access token. Reading members and teams is enough for scanning. Invites, role changes, removals and team changes need an owner's token.

STEP 02

Enter the organization and username

Enter the organization name as it appears in Docker Hub addresses, and the username the token belongs to. For an organization access token, enter the organization name again. Add another connection for another organization.

STEP 03

Watch the first sync

Ploy tests the token against the organization, then members, roles and teams land in the graph.
