WHAT PLOY DOES
Sync New Relic usersEveryone across your authentication domains arrives in Ploy, matched to the person, with the date they were last active.
READ
Discover authentication-domain groupsNew Relic authentication-domain groups are the resources access is granted against. They are the resource type this connector handles.
READ
Read licence tier and group membershipAccess to New Relic itself carries the licence tier as its entitlement, and each group is read as a full membership list so it can be reconciled.
READ
Notice a user leaving the listThe user API exposes no suspended flag, so everyone listed is read as active and a deactivated user is picked up by dropping out of the paginated list on the next sync.
READ
Register New Relic as an app in useConnecting the account records New Relic in the Ploy inventory of apps in use. It is the one app this connector reports.
READ
Create a user at the tier the role needsPloy creates the account in the authentication domain you choose, at Basic, Core or Full.
WRITE
Add and remove group membershipPloy puts a person into a New Relic authentication-domain group and takes them out again, which is what lets a group grant carry an expiry.
WRITE
Delete the accountOffboarding deletes the New Relic user outright, which is what releases the tier it held.
WRITE
2.1WHAT IT UNLOCKS

Three jobs this connector does on day one

ACCOUNTS

The account is created at the right tier

Policy works out whether the role needs Basic, Core or Full, and Ploy creates the New Relic user in the authentication domain with that tier already set.

ACCESS

Group membership follows the grant

A New Relic group can be requested, approved and given an expiry. Ploy adds the person and takes them out again when it runs out.

LEAVERS

The user is deleted, not left behind

Offboarding deletes the New Relic account rather than leaving it dormant, so the Full tier it was holding goes back into the pool the same day.
