ROLES

The account role is set from Ploy

An approved request changes a user to the account role the work needs, and the next sync shows the role they now hold.

REVIEWS AND EVIDENCE

Who holds each role, and with MFA or not

Every account user arrives with their role and their multi-factor authentication state, which is what a reviewer needs on the row.

LEAVERS

Removal takes the console seat

Offboarding deletes the user from the Redis Cloud account. Their API keys stay live, so revoking them in the console remains a step on the checklist.

STEP 01

Enable the API

The Redis Cloud API is off by default. An account Owner turns it on under Access Management, API Keys, which also shows the account key.

STEP 02

Create a user key

Create the user key on the same tab. It acts with its owner role: an Owner lets Ploy change roles and remove users, a Viewer is read only.

STEP 03

Paste both keys

Enter the account key and the user key. The user key is shown once. If it has a CIDR allow list, add the Ploy egress addresses.
