Employee changes in Simployer One drive access in Ploy

Simployer One is the people source: joiners, movers and leavers arrive from the employee roster, read in full every sync.

JOINERS

Access is ready before day one

A new hire is added in Simployer One with a hire date. Policy works out what the role needs, and Luna has the accounts and groups waiting before their first morning.

MOVERS

A role change recalculates the plan

Simployer One records the new department, team, office or manager. The whole access plan is recalculated: granted where the new role needs it, removed where the old one no longer justifies it.

LEAVERS

An inactive employee starts the unwind

When an employee goes inactive in Simployer One, offboarding starts: accounts suspended, grants pulled, sessions killed and owned resources handed on, chased to done.

STEP 01

Create an access token

An Owner creates the token in Simployer One under Settings, Access tokens, with Public API access enabled. This is Simployer One, not Simployer Classic.

STEP 02

Paste the token

The token is shown once. It is tied to the Owner who created it, so reconnect with a new token if they leave or lose the Owner role.

STEP 03

Watch the first sync

Ploy reads the roster to test the connection, then employees, teams and lifecycle dates land in the graph.
